Only We Were Fooled

So I was leaving the bank this afternoon and ran into a Deputy Sheriff (large, intimidating guy) and asked him,

"Was it a surprise what happened to Sheriff Carona?"

His response,

"To who."

I guess only the people who DIDN'T work for him were surprised.
