Hydrofluosilicic Acid In Our Water?

This comes from my good friend Dolores Otting regarding the Metropolitan Water District adding more chemicals to our drinking water...

Hi - Please come to the (Newport Beach City Council) Study Session tomorrow @ 4PM. MWD. Metropolitan Water district will be there educating us on how good it is to add Hydrofluosilicic acid to our water- It is not your Dentist's fluoride!
Take the time to contact our City Council &let them know you don't want Hydrofluosilicic acid added to our drinking water. Tell them to delay MWD putting it in our drinking water.

November 19, 2007, could be the day that Metropolitan Water District ( supplier of 40% of our water) will be adding Hydrofluosilicic acid added to our drinking water. They (MWD and others of like mind) keep calling it Fluoride, which is what I thought it was until I called MWD. I learned MWD will be purchasing the Hydrofluosilicic Acid from Florida where it is mined as an ore and, MOSAIC, will be our supplier. I discovered Hydrofluosilicic Acid is a hazardous byproduct/ waste product of the phosphate fertilizer industry and is defined as

Noun: hydrofluosilicic acid 1.An unstable poisonous corrosive acid known primarily in the form of its salts (H2F6Si)

The best description goes to former Escondido Council Member Keith Beier at a March 24, 1999 Council meeting- “I wasn’t elected to sit idly by or provide political cover, for state legislators that rubber-stamp industry’s attempt to recycle hazardous waste by dumping it into our drinking water……Our water department calculates that we (Escondido)will be buying more than 33 tons/year of a substance that can’t be given to us free because it is classified as a toxic hazardous waste; Yet, we are supposed to accept that if we pay $0.35 per gallon (1999 price) and they slap a new label on the container, this same toxic waste can be shipped to us untreated, directly from the scrubber systems of the phosphate fertilizer industry that they use to keep fluorine from becoming airborne and killing everything in sight, and that on the truck-ride here it will magically be converted to a safe and desirable nutrient. The kicker to this scheme is that the amount intended for the targeted children is only 16 pounds of the 33 tons.”

This is not your Dentist’s fluoride and comes free with lead and arsenic. Claims are made daily that Hydrofluosilicic Acid will prevent cavities, yet it does not require a prescription nor has the FDA approved it. Remember, not only will it cause harm to you, your pets and plants, since does not evaporate it will be sure to accumulate in your pool and Jacuzzi. Just imagine how much fluoride the Swim Teams and your children could be exposed to.
