Good News! John Wayne Airport Runways Not Safe!

Well...not exactly, but the OC Register's Jeff Overley's triumphant return article titled, "JWA's runway safety scrutinized." says it all.

Check out this first paragraph:

"Though it has not witnessed any serious mishaps in recent years, John Wayne Airport is among a small group of the nation's airports being targeted for lapses in runway safety, federal officials disclosed Monday."

Great news huh?

John Wayne Airport officials blame it on the Private planes (paving the way to reducing Private planes and increasing Commercial flights?) saying:

"Airport spokeswoman Jenny Wedge chalked the problem up to JWA's large number of private small-plane flights, which account for roughly 70 percent of operations."

So with Commercial (larger planes) flying out of John Wayne Airport, we would have less private planes, which would mean less problems?

It all makes sense!

Let's further expand John Wayne Airport so that a plane can crash on Lido Isle!

Then no-one would have to worry about the Rehab/Sober Living homes anymore...
