Sen Tom Harman's Foreign Policy Statement?

I guess I missed the new law where the State Legislators start acting like Congressman and Senators and legislate over United States Foreign Policy. I know Sacramento has made meaningless Proclamations and have had COMMUNISTS "LEADERS" on the floor, but this little opinion piece perplexes me a bit. (Side note - I don't try to attack Huntington Beach State Senator Tom Harman - He just makes it too easy to do it.)

State Senator Tom Harman's little Pol Position piece in the Daily Pilot discusses CHINA'S POLLUTION AND HOW IT AFFECTS CALIFORNIA. Huh? With all the bills going through Sacramento, the crazy deficit spending in the budget, Nanny-government attempts and a "Republican," and very liberal, Governor trying to pull the California Republican Party to the Left (Ok...Center), should China be on the mind of this State Legislator?

And if, for some reason, this State Legislator wants to discuss China, shouldn't he be more concerned about the Major Human Rights violations still going on in this Communist Nation? Shouldn't he be more concerned about China's relationship with the Seriously-Crazy leadership in North Korea? And when did Communist China get a President? I thought President's were elected. Communists don't hold elections...

Anyway, if State Senator Tom Harman wanted to make a real statement, he should have done like his Congressman Dana Rohrabacher.

Or perhaps we are seeing into State Senator Harman's future plans - there's an old saying in Politics:

Every morning the City Council member looks in the mirror and says, "I look more and more like a State Assemblyman."

Every morning the State Assemblyman looks in the mirror and says, "I look more and more like a State Senator."

Every morning the State Senator looks in the mirror and says, "I look more and more Congressional."

...And so on and so on...
