Quite a day for Trojan Fans..October 4th, 2008

Local residents of the Newport-Harbor area and of course
all those that knew him, lost Trojan Quarterback Craig Fertig
yesterday. Craig was the consummate University of Southern
California Alumni in Orange and Los Angeles Counties.

Craig was well known for backing up Quarterback Pete Beathard
at Trojan Ski Club meetings! Just kidding, old number 15 did
a great job and dedicated his life to the Trojan legacy. We
will miss him greatly. We loved listening to his commentary
on radio for SC games! Craig will be remembered fondly by
all........"Fight ON"!

In addition to the passing of Craig Fertig, another USC alumni
found trouble in a Las Vegas, Nevada court room. OJ Simpson
was convicted on 12 counts and faces sentencing of 15 years to
life for "Armed Robbery and Kidnapping" at a Las Vegas, Hotel
while trying to retrieve his Collectible Sports Gear.... Our
condolences to OJ's family and USC Fans everywhere. There is a
chance OJ can get a new trial....so don't count "the Juice" out
- just yet.

Pete Carroll, the great Legendary Coach of the current USC
Trojans football team, provided a 44 to 10 Victory over the
Oregon Ducks last night. A marked comeback from last Thursday
when the Oregon State Beavers thrashed the Trojans and pulled
their ranking down to nine from number one in the BCS standings!

Sadly, Craig Fertig may not have seen that great victory...but we
know Craig will! We do hope they create a Football Scholarship
in his name, along with an appropriate memorial at Heritage Hall.
