For a while, Freenewport.com was attacking me unmercifully. While that was interesting and fun, now they quote it. Times change...
But, Freenewport.com is known as a place where people can truly post their comments anonymously, spitting out all the hatred and rumors they can muster.
But sometimes you can learn a thing or two.
Kind of like a Freenewport.com filter.
With all the Hatred and Rumors, 1% might have some truth to it...
Well...with the Sober Living/Rehab home issue flaring up, Freenewport.com has made a great recovery back to it's anonymous, hating and rumor throwing message board that we all loved and missed.
Latest victim, Bob Rush, the guy who is spearheading the drive to make all the City Council and City Staff's public disclosures truly transparent.
Why shouldn't we know everything our City leaders are involved in?
If they lie, Bob Rush would find it.
He should be praised and honored for such a watchdog role.
But instead, in the past week, Freenewport.com posters turned on Bob, in true Freenewport.com fashion.
"You all might want to do a background check on Mr. Rush. Seems he has quite a history of involvement in some pretty unsavory activities."
Why write such a thing? Is he running for City Council? There are members of the current City Council and City Staff who also could fit that same "pretty unsavory activities" label pretty well.
I guess, with the good, you get the hatred and rumors...
