Best part? Her discussion with State Senator Harman about the Group Home problem and her surprise that State Senators are insensitive to local City needs. This naive optimism in the actions and intentions of State Senators is a charming and amiable attribute of Councilwoman Gardner.
She thinks that they actually might care about what's best for the Cities they represent, but know nothing about. All (most) they care about are the special interest groups who contribute big to their re-election campaigns, and independent expenditure committees, and the issues that concern them.
She is truly a local elected public servant who is trying to do what's best for her City.
