Every year there is something that is invented for others to use. Most often it is linked to home and garden. At least, this is what we come to know from late night infomercials. There are still those that do not even make it to national channels. But once bought, their masks fall off and finally we realize that we have been ripped off. Here are the top 5 of those.
1. Mini Plastic Computer Duster
This is one of the most horrible products ever made. Perhaps, its mission is to just look cute and help its maker pocket money. The truth is that it is too small and thus, cannot do the job of dusting off neither laptop nor computer. In the process, it just enables the dust to fall inside the keyboard buttons. I actually bought it and then of course, threw it in the trash can.
2. Banana Slicer
If you wish all your friends to know that you are the laziest person on this planet then this is your product. Otherwise, keep away from it and save your reputation. Banana slicer just slices a full banana into little circular pieces. However, some hassles are included. Apparently, there are many models of banana slicers in the market, but the one in the picture is the worst. The banana pieces do not come out of it easily and usually are in need of poking.
3. Animal ring holder
Can anyone explain why a separate show piece has been created as a ring holder? Do we need it? Any animal that has a long tail high up can turn into a nice ring holder. The concept is really not new and thus, cannot be seen like a breakthrough in the jewelry world. As a matter of fact, this weird product has more potential to attract thieves especially in a house full of guests!
4. Sauce container
What a great invention! At the end of the day, this is what we have always wanted. These tiny sauce containers accept only thinnest sauce. Anything thicker is rejected right away. Why? Just take a look at the mouth of one container. It is extremely tiny. Also the containers are not designed to hold a huge amount of liquid. In a way, they can be bought only for window dressing and nothing more.
5. Chocolate Fondue Fountain
This product looks great in restaurants, but it is definitely not for home use. A huge amount of chocolate is needed to make it work. Of course, the chocolate usually comes with the fountain. Yet people are not interested in it. I used to work at a store where they were offering chocolate fondue fountains. Although they were quite tall in height they remained elusive to the eyes of the customers. After Christmas, all winter products including the chocolate fondue fountains were put on clearance sale. The prices were below minimum. Everything got sold and the shelves were all clean but on the floor the chocolate fondue fountains remained.
