Google is on the verge of testing a new social network project called Google Plus. Many are saying that it is making Facebook days numbered. The reason behind this is that Google Plus will have what Facebook does not offer at the moment. A good example is video conference. Through this feature, at our Google Plus profile page we will be able to do video chatting with a bunch of our friends.
Just like Twitter and Facebook, this site will help you write and read your friends’ status updates, but with a twist. All of them will not be present on the same page. Instead they will be divided through standalone pages (friend group, family group, etc).
Google Plus also has picture sharing feature. This can be done straight from the cell phone. However, here, we can decide whether we want the picture to be kept private or public.
Other things at Google Plus are kept similar to what we find on Facebook. A good example of it is the newsfeed. Yet privacy will always be given the most priority.
Now will this new social networking site take away Facebook’s share? There is a high possibility of that happening. Google knows the meaning of aggressive marketing technique. Even if it fails to lure people into signing up for it it will make Plus a compulsory part of its search engine page or Youtube. And as we all know, Google search engine is used by almost every person going online. So watch out Facebook. Many might be already very curious about Google Plus. If you wish to know how it looks like you can see its demo over here.
