On September 7, 2011 at approximately 1:44 pm, Officers of the Salisbury Police arrested the below listed suspect on an outstanding arrest warrant for a check forgery that occurred in May of 2011. At that time it was reported to the Salisbury Police that a subject had attempted to cash stolen checks at a local bank. Salisbury Detectives were able to identify the below listed suspect as the suspect that forged the victim’s signature on the checks and attempted to cash them.

On September 7, 2011 at approximately 9:40 pm, Officers of the Salisbury Police were on routine patrol in the area of North
Saratoga Street and stopped a vehicle operated by below listed suspect # 1 for traffic violations. A records check revealed that suspect # 1 was driving on a suspended and revoked driving privilege. A check of suspect # 2, the passenger, resulted in the recovery of a quantity of suspected “crack”/cocaine on his person.
ARRESTED #1: Thomas Mitchell Hitch, 53 years of age

ARRESTED #2: Isaac James Cook, 49 years of age

On September 8, 2011 at approximately 2:21 am, Officers of the Salisbury Police received a call to respond to the Monkey Barrel Bar and Grill for the report of an assault. Upon arrival the officers made contact with a Monkey Barrel employee who advised that staff members of the bar had responded to the parking lot area after hearing a disturbance and had broken up a fight between several subjects. After breaking up the fight, the employee advised that the below listed suspect approached him and struck him in the facial area. During the altercation between the suspect and the employee, the suspect also bit the employee on the arm.
ARRESTED: Nicholas Cyrus Taghipour, 24 years of age
Delmar, Maryland
CHARGES: Second degree assault
DISPOSITION: Released to Central Booking
