Five Things to Teach Your Daughters
The story of Monica Lewinsky's life-to-date provides yet another reason to teach your daughters that reputations are hard to change. I am talking about both good and less than good reputations. Although, I do feel empathy for Monica, she was a young woman starstruck by a powerful man, her story is yet another compelling reminder of the power of reputations.
Monica appeared to be a young woman with a lot of potential for living a good life. 17 years after her very public sexual connection with our then President Bill Clinton, she reportedly lives the life of a "near recluse." She is a single 38-year-old woman who appears to have been unable to find happiness in her social life or career. Sadly, she reports still feeling like "the punchline to a joke."
