L’Oreal Voluminous Full Definition Mascara Review

L’Oreal Voluminous Full Definition is the mascara designed to boost volume in the eye lashes. It contains Vitamin E, Pro-Vitamin B5 and Ceramide- R. According to the label, the mascara does not create flake and clumps. L’Oreal has also promised that it is okay for those have sensitive eyes and wear contact lens.
The brush is said to be technology advanced. It should work like a comb to separate the eyelashes.  So many features in one mascara? It sounds too good to be true. But does it really deliver these features to the user? Let’s know it from the review.

Benefits:
L’Oreal Voluminous Full Definition comes in a bigger tube and its price somewhere between $5 to $7. So buying it can be a win-win situation. You will be getting more mascara in lesser price. L’Oreal Voluminous Full Definition is perfect for all those who prefer natural makeup less look because it brushes the lashes nicely to give them a natural fuller look. The most interesting fact about this mascara is that it contains Vitamin E. This little ingredient actually boosts lash growth and prevents it from falling off. Perhaps, that is why, when I wore the mascara I did not see my lashes coming out.

Full Definition also seems to dry off in the lashes quicker. So after wearing it, there is less to worry about getting stained lids. Another important thing is that such feature makes the mascara touch proof. I actually have a habit of touching my lashes. But interestingly, after wearing this mascara, every time I touched them no black stain came on my finger. It felt as if there was nothing in my lashes. Last, the mascara does give them a volume.

Problems:
There is no way, it is possible to use second or third coat of this mascara on the lashes. The result of doing it is quite terrible. The lashes become over clumpy. Add this with the volume feature and you will get theatrical eyes. No, this term has no connection with being sexy or dramatic. The association is actually with Broadway shows where actors have to wear fake lashes to make their eye expressions more visible to the audiences.  If you have never been to Broadway shows think about moulin rouge ladies or show girls. Yes, the mascara ends up making the lashes like theirs.

The wand or brush of this mascara can be taken as a pain in the neck. It simply has no interest in giving a curled up look to the lashes. Instead, it leaves them straightened. The next problem is that the mascara gives some kind of irritation near the lashes. I am not sure whether every user noticed this problem. L'Oreal mentions that Full definition is okay for sensitive eyes and that they found this result from testing. The test i ran says the opposite.Every time I wore this mascara, I felt a burning sensation around my eyes. However, it was short lived. Yet I will say that Full Definition is not for the sensitive eyes. The irritation simply cannot be ignored.

Verdict:
L’Oreal Voluminous Full Definition is a bit too ordinary. It performs an average job in embellishing the lashes. Yes, it does give volume, but again the clumps are a bigger problem. Since more than one coat of this mascara cannot be used people who want just a touch up and natural look will find it beneficial. I am having trouble digesting the fact that it gives irritation in the eyes. This makes me little suspicious about what is really in this mascara. For all this, I give it 2 out of 5 stars.

e.l.f Essentials Waterproof Eyeliner Pen Review

This is my 100th post and therefore, I will dedicate it to something good and wonderful. It is called e.l.f Essentials Waterproof Eyeliner pen. It costs only $1. I experimented with it (color: black#7303) for 3 months and here is the result.

Benefits:
As mentioned before, the eyeliner comes in the shape of a pen. But it actually works like a marker. The lines coming from it are thicker and almost have the quality of liquid eyeliner. Their wetness is never a problem, for it quickly dries off.

I really like cat eye look.  But thanks to my shaky hands, getting it in perfect length for me has always been a struggle. Good news is that this e.l.f Essential eyeliner pen has made my job easier. I now can get my cat eye look without any problem. What I am trying to imply here is that it glides on to the eyelids very smoothly. Even the shaky hands do not form an obstacle.  Now is the eyeliner really waterproof? The answer to this question is yes.  Because of this same reason, it lasts over the eyes for several hours. I have actually not seen any smudges coming from it ever.

Admittedly, since I paid so low for this eyeliner, I had no faith in its quality and thought that it would expire quickly like its sister, e.l.f Essentials Regular and Waterproof Mascara Duo. But now after 3 months, I am happy to assert that my doubts and negative predictions have been broken into pieces. The eyeliner still is in perfect condition and has not run out at all. In short, I am still using it.

Problems:
I cannot really think of a problem associated with this e.l.f product. It seems to be one of their best achievements. Yet I will say that once on eyes, it resists leaving because of its high quality waterproof feature.

Verdict:
It is no wonder that this eyeliner won an award and has managed to gain many admirers. Perfect for both new makeup users and experienced stylists, it never seems to show any flaws. Even if it runs out disappointment cannot follow, for it costs only a dollar. Simply, it deserves all the 5 stars.

Max Factor 2000 Calorie Curved Brush Mascara Review

Max Factor 2000 Calorie Mascara has many variations. One of them is designed for curling eyelashes. It is called Max Factor 2000 Calorie Curved Brush mascara.  The maker claims that this specific product thickens the eyelashes without causing them to go through any kind of reactions because it is hypoallergenic.
We will come to know from this review if it is that good to be true. Just like before, we will start out with benefits and then go to problems, and verdict.

Benefits:
The 2000 Calorie mascara I have is rich black (201).It definitely is very dark. So the eyelashes getting touched by it get a wonderful defined color. Now does the mascara thicken the eyelashes? Fortunately, yes.. But the main highlight is the curved brush. I have used it several times to curl up my eyelashes. The result has always left me speechless. It seems that the real metal curler is quite useless in front of it.

Additionally, the curved brush does a great job in separating the eyelashes from one another. A secret to be revealed is that this mascara gives a romantic touch to the eyes. They just look naturally innocent and artistic.

Moreover, the mascara remains in the lashes for several long hours. I actually once wore it at 10am before going to school. I came back home at 8pm. The mascara was still intact. I must also mention here that this product always helps me gain compliments from both men and women.

Problems:
It is very important to be very careful while wearing this mascara. The problem is the curved brush. It splatters the liquid around the eyes. That is why; very slow movements must be utilized to use it. In addition, the face must be very close to the mirror. Otherwise, it will be very difficult to notice the residues.

Also the mascara does not allow four to five coats. The reason is that it is fast drying. I notice that more than three coats actually leave the eyelashes with rocky clumps.

Verdict:
We all long for curled up beautiful eyelashes. This Max Factor 2000 Calorie with the curved brush gives it to us easily. Sure it has few flaws, but at the end of the day, it carries an unusual power to leave the eyes looking beautiful. Because of this, it gets a 4.5 out of 5 stars from me.

Luscious Cosmetics Lip Polish Review

Three days ago, my little sister gave me a tiny makeup item.  It came in a tiny pink box. The name of this little makeup item is lip polish by Luscious cosmetics. To be honest, I never heard of this brand before. But its intention seems good. According to the lip polish’s label, Luscious cosmetics does not test its products on animals. In fact, they are very much in love with these species. Additionally, this lip polish contains Vitamin E and antioxidants.  Other ingredients include a wide range of oily compounds, vanilla, min and different kinds of seed extracts.  By the way, the one I have got has the color named as Bali. I will say it is a pale pink. Luscious Cosmetics reveals that this product can also be used for lip treatment.
Now as mentioned in my previous posts, I always review a makeup product only after trying it out for 3 months. I will not do the same with this lip polish because it is just another lip gloss. So let’s begin with its benefits. Then we will jump to problems and verdict.

Benefits:
The tube of the lip polish is quite small. So it can be easily taken anywhere. Next, the color called Bali has a magical appearance. It reminds me of Britney Spears’ Oops! I did it video. I remember that she was one of the first people to promote the glossy lip trend. She just did it through that specific video.
Overall, the color of lip polish gives quite a good highlight to the lips. Just take a look at the gloss. It is so shiny that it is appearing blurry in the picture.
Apparently, the lip polish color is so thick that it can be taken as equal to a lipstick. At least when I wore it that is how I felt. Good news is that the color actually stays on the lips for several hours. So the lip polish can be taken as a great alternative to ordinary lipsticks.

I also think that the scent of the liquid is pleasing. It does not scream. Now there is something more interesting about this lip polish that I will share here. I noticed that it gives a cooling effect to the lips. I am guessing that it comes from the mint extract.

Problems:
Lip polish is sticky. It simply feels like thick glue on the lips. Does it heal cracks like lip balms? Unfortunately, no! My lip cracks actually went more visible after I wore it. They even seemed thornier. So I don't think that the healing properties Luscious Cosmetics used to make this item are utilized properly. Another negative thing that this lip gloss has is the applicator. See its image below.
It is just another brush whose soft bristles, during application, go here and there. I am quite sure it is something that will not last longer. The price of the lip polish is unfair also. It is $18. I don’t think such a tiny tube should be of that high price.

Verdict:
Luscious Cosmetics’ lip polish can be beneficial to all those who are looking for a product containing high volume of gloss and lipstick color. The cooling effect that this product gives is not unique, but very much needed for harsh lips. But again, it does not heal the cracks and thus, it cannot be used as a lip treatment product. Yet the color looks extremely beautiful. For all this, this lip polish gets a 3.5 star out 5 stars from me.

L'Oreal Color Juice Sheer Gloss Lip Pencil Review

I remember buying two  L’Oreal Color Juice Sheer lip pencils only to leave them in my cosmetics cabinet unused. They were still in a sealed state. By the way the two shades I have are chili pop and pink swing.

Just yesterday, I unsealed the chili pop to see how it would go on my lips. There was basically no surprise. It was just another glossy lip gloss with thick color as shown below.
You must know that sheer gloss has been replaced by its tube version. We already talked about that couple of months ago. There seems to be a slight amount of change in the formula. The pencil version does not smooth out the rough edges of the lips. It just has a cheap quality. The oily gloss actually remains too wet over the lips just like all other old lip gloss products. I will just say that the pencil is way too ordinary. It is good that L’Oreal discontinued this product.

A fat lipstick or lip gloss in pencil form is never an exciting thing. Yes, it is easy to use. But the sharpening can really be a hassle. Losing the cap can be another big trouble. That almost leaves the product attractive to dust.

L’Oreal Infallible Le Rouge Lipcolor Review

L’Oreal is quite clever at coming up with a good packaging for its products. By and by, they are actually getting skilled at it. Look at L’Oreal Infallible Le Rouge lipcolor for example. The silvery tube wrapped in transparent plastic cap appears so elegant. Perhaps, that is why, I got tempted to buy its refined ruby shade. According to L’Oreal, this lipstick has 10 hours of staying power.  Its color is designed to appear luscious and defined. Additionally, the lipstick contains Vitamin E to keep the lips moisturized.  It all seems to make Infallible Le Rouge more advanced than other lipsticks. But before you can fall for it just read what I have found out about it.In general,  I test drive makeup products up to 3 months before I sit down to write reviews about them. This is what I tried to do with L’Oreal Infallible Le Rouge also.  But unfortunately, I failed! Yet just like before, I will explain the benefits I received from this lipcolor. Of course, we will take a look at why I failed in my experiment, but it will be in the problem section of this post.

Benefits:
The texture of Infallible Le Rouge somehow reminds me of my mom’s late 80s lipsticks. It is thickly creamy and slightly glossy. But time has changed and Infallible actually reflects the advancement of the cosmetics making technology. It glides very comfortably onto the lips. A little bit of hand shiver does not even make it over and out!

Once I wore it on my cracked lips. The result was amazing. There was basically no irritation whatsoever. Meanwhile, the cracks softened and disappeared under the color. So I can say that yes it is true that Infallible does contain Vitamin E. Another thing is that the lipstick does change the look of the face in a bold way.  There were actually times when I wore it without any makeup and still appeared fresh and bright!

Problems:
I mentioned earlier that I grabbed the refined ruby shade of Infallible Le Rouge. But after I wore it, I realized that I got cheated.  Refined ruby was not actually of ruby color. So be careful when you buy this lipstick. The mirror revealed that I was wearing deep magenta.

Now why I could not test drive Infallible Le Rouge longer? From where do I begin? First of all, this lipstick stains the teeth. It is embarrassing! Thank God, I found out about it right at home. What is more annoying is the fact that this stain is not easy to remove. Also the lipstick does not have any wish to stay longer on the lips. It goes away very easily especially with eating and drinking. As soon as I saw all this happening, I understood that I got my answer. No further experiment was necessary. I will still give here an example of how the lipstick does from one rub. Notice the image given below. I ran the lipstick on my hand.
Then I gave it a rub with my finger. Just one and nothing more. The result was this:
Do you see how it easily loses the color? This should imply to you that this lipstick color might look thick and creamy, but it actually is very thin. That is why, it loses staying power from touches.

Verdict:
L’Oreal Infallible Le Rouge does not fulfill its mission of staying on the lips for 10 hours, but it does have the power to make a face appear fresh and bright even without makeup. I will just say that it is designed to be worn for formal parties, for it is capable of complementing evening gowns.  But again, who wants to do deal with an embarrassing situation occurring from lipstick stain on teeth? Just think carefully before you pick up this lipstick for yourself. I myself will not recommend it to anyone. As a matter of fact, from me, it gets 3 out of 5 stars.

Medline Remedy Skin Repair Cream Review

Medline Remedy Skin Repair cream remained underground for many years. Its glimpse was only got by patients and healthcare workers at hospitals. We actually got it through our doctor. He recommended my dad to use it to repair his feet's dry skin. According to the tube label, Medline Remedy Skin Repair cream contains extracts from olive and that it just moisturizes and nourishes the skin. This definitely sounds like a generic mission. Every moisturizer is programmed to do the same thing, after all. Yet there is something more surprising about the Medline cream. We will know all about it here. But since, it is a review post; we will also take a look at the cons of using the cream.

Benefits:
Medline Remedy Skin Repair cream does what it says and that is, moisturizing and nourishing the skin. I myself never had extreme dry and broken skin. But as I mentioned before, my dad did. When I used the product I simply noticed the little dryness of my hands diminishing. Also the itch was totally gone. The surprising result was actually acquired my dad. His feet skin was dramatically rough with infinite number of flakes. But the use of this cream regularly every night healed it all within 3 weeks.  Consequently, we ordered the product again.

Now many people think that this Medline cream is made only for hands. That is rather a misconception. The truth is that since the cream is designed by keeping hospital patients in mind, it does not affect sensitive skin and thus, can be used on any body parts including face, hands and chest.
Problems:
The smell of this repair cream is not the best. I actually thought it was a bit too strong to bear. Next, this cream is not available in general drug stores. We basically have to either ask for it from our primary physician or buy online. Before, I had a complaint about the cream’s price. It used to be $80. Thanks to fans' growing demand, now it is available at below $10.

Verdict:
Medline Remedy Repair cream is one of a kind skin care product. We simply cannot compare it to other moisturizers available in the market. It can be used by all in the family during any seasons and for any skin problems. Because of this, it deserves 5 out of 5 stars. I can just go one step by saying that this is the best moisturizer ever made.

Sculpey III Polymer Clay Review

Sculpey III also known as Sculpey 3 is said to be that one specific polymer clay that is great for bringing out details in any miniatures. I got myself its mulitpack 12 pastel colors. It came in a box and cost me something like $10. I thought it was a good deal. But was working with it easy? Let’s find out here.

In the beginning, I was quite excited to see the 12 colors in one box. Each was 1 ounce which I thought was not so bad. Taking them out made me more hopeful. They just did not look bright, but also glittery. Such look is actually elegant to me, for sometimes they can go without the glossy coats. But there was something different about Sculpey III. It was way too soft. One little press just ruined the clay that I rolled into a ball. Sometimes it even got stuck to the paper on which I placed it. This was definitely troublesome for me. So that entire statement that it is great for detailing is not true. Also since they are so soft they cannot be used for making canes. But yes, once they came out of the oven baked as figures they looked just fine and durable. Another thing is that this polymer clay is great for creating realistic looking whip cream, ice cream, pie and other desserts. This basically allows me to say that Sculpey 3 does not completely lack quality.

But if you are a beginner never get it is multipack of pastel colors. The reason behind this is that the box does not include the black and red. They are quite essential in creating eyes and hair for miniatures. Also remember that by using Sculpey 3, you will not be able to master the art of giving details to whatever you make.
Because of all this, I would say that Scupley 3 is like side dish. In other words, it is best for giving tiny details to figures we make by using tough polymer clay (other brands).  And this let's it receive 3 out of 5 stars from me.

Rimmel Extra Super Lash Mascara Review

I bought Rimmel Extra Super Lash mascara just when it came out. At the time, there was a buy one get one free promotion going on for it. So I thought I picked the right product for myself (gave the other one to my mom).  According to Rimmel, this mascara is designed for enhancing the beauty of the lashes while keeping them separate without clumps. So in a way, it is not from the volume build up category. But should you still try out this mascara? You might be able to decide that after reading the review given here.

Benefits:
I have been using this Rimmel Extra Super Lash mascara for a while now. The best thing to say is that it has been in my cabinet for more than a year now. I know it has already expired, but again, since I have too many mascara products, sometimes I just do not pay attention to it (will be explained why later). Yet there is something surprising about its liquid. It has not dried out at all.
One thing I really like about this mascara is that it dresses up the eyelashes extremely well.  To be clear, it makes the lashes glossy, separate and darker. I will be basically saving its brush after I throw away the tube, for it is compatible with my lashes.

Problems:
I will first answer here why I never pay attention to this mascara. The reason is that it leaves the eyelashes wet. Yes, it does not dry out quickly. In some cases, I actually had to redo my entire makeup just because its little drops from the lashes ended up badly staining the areas over my eyelids. Secondly, it does not have a good relationship with lash curler. I noticed that after I curled my lashes when I tried to wear this Rimmel mascara they went lower. It could be because of the heaviness they felt from the watery mascara liquid. But I was definitely not very happy with that. Last, I am little suspicious about the ingredients that make up the Rimmel Extra Super Lash mascara. The liquid dripping from the lashes and landing right inside my eyes left a burning sensation. They got watery and I felt as if I poured acid in them. So I will just say that I feared that this mascara would eventually kill my eyes.

Verdict:
Rimmel Extra Super Lash mascara is good for keeping lashes separate and darkening their color. But it does leave them lowered. That basically cancels out the reason for which we wear mascara. You know one of our missions is to get them slightly curled through it. We just cannot get that from this Rimmel mascara. It also seems to have ingredients that are not friendly with the eyes. For all this, I would give the mascara 1 out of 5 stars. Meanwhile, I would also ask new buyers of this product to stay alert. Save the receipt. You might again need it.

IsaDora Build-Up Volume Mascara Review

Just as the title suggests, IsaDora Build-Up Volume mascara is made for all those who wish to maximize the volume of their eyelashes. Additionally, it is water proof, fast drying, hypoallergenic and can be used for multiple coats.  All this seems to make the mascara quite unique. But is it all just big promises or something real? Let’s find out here.

Benefits:
Although slightly more expensive than all other brands, IsaDora is available in most drugstores. This is where I actually picked up its Build-Up Volume mascara. On seeing it, I realized its tube was much bigger than the rest. So I thought it had plenty of mascara liquid inside. As soon as I brought it home, I tested it by applying it to my eyelashes. What was the test result? Well, it turned out of be positive. The mascara did not create clumps and truly was fast drying. I would give Moreover, it gave a nice volume to my lashes. I would give its credit to its high quality brush. Overall, the mascara did half of what it promised. But I cannot really say whether it is really hypoallergenic. It is just that my eyelashes do not negatively react to mascara products.

Problems:
Although IsaDora Build-Up Volume mascara’s fast drying ability is a good feature for all those who wear makeup in a hurry it can turn out to be a problem for the slow and careful ones. To be clear, its one application makes the eyelashes hard. So going for the next coat becomes quite a difficult job.  This should imply to you that multiple coat feature of this mascara is rather a hype created by IsaDora. Another problem is that this product is not completely long lasting. Yes, it seems to be waterproof, but long wear leaves solid black mascara particles under the eyes. At least this is what I experienced.

Verdict:
IsaDora Build-Up Volume mascara is not a bad product. I used it and liked how it enhanced the beauty of my eyelashes. In short, I am satisfied with it and thus, I am ready to overlook some of its problems, and give it 4 out of 5 stars. The truth is that no mascara in this world is 100 percent perfectly made. So there is no point in being too harsh on IsaDora Build-Up Volume. At least, it does not leave clumps. We also cannot ignore the fact that its tube actually contains a lot of mascara liquid.

e.l.f Essentials Regular and Water Proof Mascara Duo Review

Makeup products cannot be judged by looking at their brands. At least, this is what I always believe in. So I got myself one of the e.l.f mascara tubes. For a moment, I thought I came across a good deal. Two mascaras in one tube? And that is also just for a $1? Nothing could be more exciting than that. Basically, its tube has two openings. While one carries the regular mascara, the other one has its water proof version. Thus, getting it made me feel as if I hit the bull's eye. But again, who needs regular mascara in place of the water proof one? Perhaps, e.l.f just wanted its customers to give options in one tube. But should you really try this product? Decide it after reading the review.

Benefits:
After buying a makeup product, I cannot wait a day to try it out. So once I brought the e.l.f Essential Regular and Water Proof Mascara Duo home, I hurried to test it. As soon as the applicator was taken out of the regular’s tube I noticed that the mascara looked quite sticky.
Yet without letting any question bubble up in my head, I applied it to my eyelashes. A good look in the mirror revealed that they turned darker. Their length was also strongly visible. Next day, I tried out the water proof one. This was not that bad. It left my eyelashes slightly curled up and also darker.

Overall, e.l.f Essential Regular and Water Proof Mascara Duo seems to be just very ordinary. No real benefit can be expected from it. It is just like any other mascara product that was made in the 90s. This should imply to you that it is just going with the tradition. Good thing is that e.l.f is charging a fair price for it.

Problems:
I really do not know how I should start explaining the problems that e.l.f Essential Regular and Water Proof Mascara Duo gives. The overall quality of this product is way too average. First of all, it is not easy to understand whether full mascara liquid is really there in the tube. Actually, taking out the applicator from it made me feel that it was empty! The mascara just looked too dry inside. Consequently, the applicator seemed to have black solid particles. They even ended up sticking to my eyelashes. Worst that this were the applicators. They basically clumped up my lashes in a very bad way. But again, the statement on this will vary. Some people have thinner eyelashes which might not experience this problem. Mine are dense as mentioned in the previous mascara review.

The funniest thing about e.l.f Essential Regular and Water Proof Mascara Duo is that it totally becomes dry after a month or two. At least this is what happened to mine. Now it is just unusable and thus, I will have to throw it in the trash can.

Verdict:
This is the mascara that we should buy in an emergency or when we don’t have much money left in the bank account. Do not expect it to do something wonderful to your eyelashes. It is just very ordinary in nature. In a way, it fulfills the requirement of having something called “mascara” in the makeup kit. For all this and more, it gets 2 out of 5 stars.

Clinique High Impact Mascara Review

Clinique High Impact mascara is designed for all those who want to see the volume in their eyelashes.  Interestingly, this little product delivers more than that. We will take a look at it here today, but since it is a review post, I will also discuss the disadvantages associated with this mascara.

Benefits:
I have always been a fan of Clinique products. It is just that they always seem to keep me satisfied.  So despite the fact that I already own three mascaras from three different brands, I had to get its High Impact. Now does it really give volume to the eyelashes? The answer to it is yes,  but there are some more surprising benefits that I have acquired from it. First of all, even after applying it to my lashes I feel as if I am wearing nothing. Another amazing thing I have noticed is that it hardens them only moderately and stays nonstick throughout the day.  My curiosity actually makes me touch my lashes sometimes. Strangely, the color of the mascara never seems to stick to my fingers. Because of all this, whenever I plan on using less makeup to keep my natural look alive I choose High Impact for my lashes.

Problems:
Now one thing that is disappointing about Clinique High Impact is its brush. Sure it glides well onto the eyelashes, but the problem is that it leaves them straightened if a good curler is not in use. In addition, it creates clumps. I must mention here that different users can have different opinions on this. I already have dense eyelashes and so most mascaras do leave them clumped up. But High Impact always wins in the "clump them down" race much quicker than all of them! Another point to note is that it gives an innocent and not a seductive look to the eyes. So those who wish to have their eyelashes appear sexy must avoid this mascara.

Verdict:
Overall, Clinique High Impact is a good mascara. This is true quality wise. Not too many mascaras are actually nonstick to the fingers. Also it seems to be best for all those who like less makeup. Now as previously mentioned, High Impact is a volume enhancer and fortunately, it performs this job quite well. So in a way, we can say that its keeping its promise. This simply kills any debate we want to raise against its disadvantages. Thus, it deserves 3.5 out of 5 stars.
