Jaguar announced last week that it will build a hybrid supercar that will cost more than $1 million.
According to a report in Automotive News, Jaguar will make 250 C-X75s between 2013 and 2015. Some of them will be available in the United States. Let's continue read : Jaguar to build Supercar Hybrid C-X75.
You might want to start saving now (maybe), because it will be priced anywhere between $1.2 million and $1.5 million, depending on the local market and taxes.
The car stole the show at The 2010 Paris Auto Show. "The C-X75 received an incredible reception as a concept car. We've been building on that momentum and there is a clear business case for this exclusive halo model," Adrian Hallmark, Jaguar brand director, said in a statement.
Jaguar said the chassis of the C-X75 will be built using lightweight carbon fiber. The body will help make it one of the fastest cars in the world, going from 0-60 in less than three seconds, and capable of 200 mph.
As far as the hybrid engine, Automotive News writes:
The C-X75 will use a small-capacity, highly-boosted internal combustion engine with one powerful electric motor at each axle. It will have a 31 mile (50km) range when driven only under electric power.
