The Roller Coaster Ride Between Sheriff Lewis & Julie Brewington Continues

Not long ago we ran an article about Julie Brewington HERE. Well, it turns out the Sheriff's Department totally screwed up because the Sheriff insisted criminal charges get filed against Julie Brewington.

Well, the States Attorneys Office screwed up even worse because they should have known better than to file criminal charges but we are dealing with a Freshman States Attorney who is being guided by emotions rather than professionalism.

You see, you can't file criminal charges against Julie Brewington because it was a first offense. You'll recall this was about a dog at her residence chasing after a woman on a motorcycle causing her to wreck.

Now, if it was the second time around, criminal charges could have been filed, but that's not the case.

Word is that Sheriff Lewis personally told Julie Brewington she either come to his office to pick up charging documents or he would personally come out to her home and arrest her. We learned that Julie wasted the Sheriff's Deputies time over and over again by refusing to answer her door whenever they arrived.

Nevertheless, the charges have been dropped against Julie Brewington because they were flat out wrong to start with. However, the key is, there are several people interested in finding others who have been attacked by a dog at this residence. If you have been attacked by this dog, (or others) you should leave a comment. Let me tell you why.

It seems new charges are being filed very soon by the States Attorneys Office and a civil lawsuit is also in the works. Let me just say this. I know this to be a fact, so don't even challenge me in comments. While JB, JR & JT have tried to encourage others to file a class action lawsuit against me, KARMA is a beautiful thing.

Salisbury News has learned a LOT of cases within the Sheriff's Office are being dropped, costing the taxpayers quite a bit of money. Of course many have challenged Sheriff Lewis all the way back when he pulled over the box truck in the landfill case, siting the mud flaps were 3" too short, or some BS like that. Every law enforcement officer I've ever talked to said that was a load of crap. In the end, most of the offenders really got off with a slap on the wrist AND the majority of those challenged are actually still working for the County.

So lets hope this time around they do their due diligence FIRST and file the proper charges. One thing is for sure, a civil lawsuit is on its way. Sometimes its just better to admit fault than completely deny it ever happened, if you know what I mean.

New Posts will fall below this one.
