The Ideas in Teaching Solar System

Solar system may be interesting for some students but it can also be a boring subject for the others. It is the problems of every teacher who wants to teach solar system. To make the students get the enthusiasm in the space and solar system subject, the teacher can make some effort from their creative side.

The teacher can make a comprehensive lesson. So, the teacher makes relation the lesson to another subject such as math, writing, art, and reading. In relating to math, the teacher can ask the students to calculate their weight on other planets. In reading and writing, the teacher can ask the students to read story about planet then rewrite it in their own words. He/she can also ask the students to make a poem about it. In arts, the teacher can ask the students to draw or paint planets.

By giving comprehensive lesson for your space and solar system lesson, your students will not get bored learning about it. They will enjoy their solar system lesson. So, no more boredom for solar system class because solar system offers many opportunities for teacher to create an interesting learning environment that will help the students to understand the lesson easily.

New Years 2009!

Although 2008 has been one of the most shocking in American
history...the City of Newport Beach seems unfazed. Our trash
is still picked up, our Firefighters still travel to other
locals to help our their brothers in arms....like Yorba Linda.
Our Police Department continues to "do its thing" and people
continually are stopped or ticketed when appropriate. Our
lights remain on most of the time, the Gas still heats our
homes and we still fight constantly with our Cable provider
to somehow get the NFL Network. The weather remains mostly
mild, but this winter has been inordinately colder in our
recollection.

Yes, Newport Beach still argues about silly stuff like "who
will be the Mayor", or how that process should work in a
Charter City. They still find ways not to implement strong
Rehab Housing rules, while Homer Bludau our wonderful City
Managers continues to send out enlightening newsletters.
Thanks Homer!

So, what do we have to complain about? Oh, we can always
find something. Like our 48th District Congressman that
voted for the Federal Bail Out, but can't find us a few
baubles to dredge our back bay. Hey, this last election
was so close that the Democrats (Those avowed so!) almost
beat the Republicans....across the board.

How will the election of Barack Obama as our President
change Newport Beach? Well, he will probably be spending
as much time as he can in Honolulu and Newport Beach...
he is a beach guy, as everyone knows! Maybe he can get
us the money to dredge our Newport Bay.

The Financial/Real Estate/Banking/Pension funds/Retirement
Funds/Mutual Funds/Investment Group World meltdown has
had its effects. Rents are down in Newport Beach and so
are Real Estate Values. Those $10 Million dollar homes
are even being shopped around at levels of $7 Million or
even less. The traditional Condo Market has fallen like
a rock and stand alone old time housing is static on the
priceline! Those SPEC Houses that developer built.....
before the bubble can't even be rented.....cause the rent
they want is "way high"!

And what about all our celebrities in Newport Beach? We
have plenty.....but they are keeping a very low profile.
Poor Leigh Steinberg, Tiger Woods, Kobe Bryant, Henry
Samueli, Mike Scioscia.......wishing them all a very great
2009 as well.

So, for the "Few, the Proud and the Resilient" who read
Newport Voices and for those with the temerity to actually
participate and make comments.....we salute you! Truth is
a terrible thing to waste. What about the swan dive by
Bret Favre at the Jets? What about Joe Torre and the LA
Dodgers...will they bring Manny back? So many questions:
So little time!

Wishing all the citizens of Newport Beach a powerfully
successful year, that the price of crude oil stays low or
lower, that certain stocks stay solvent, that not too many
retailers go out of business, that not too many people lose
their jobs and that the State of California save us all
without raising taxes! Some big wishes we know!
Happy New Year to all....

kapanlagi.com : SCAM !! (update : mereka dah bayar janjinya)

Make Learning Fun

Education is a representation of learning that affects on the development of skills of the learners. Giving education is not only to make the learners to get the expected score, but it also to also create the characters of every learner. In reaching the goal of the education, a teacher should create an interesting learning environment. It is done to make the students enjoy the materials that are given. Fun learning can liven up the class and give a fun and interesting learning experience to the students.

Creating fun learning environment is not an easy thing to do. Teacher should have a special skill in it. At first, teacher should have a plan in creating the fun learning environment. Teacher can engage the students to involve and actively participating in the class activity such as when the teacher gives them games. Make use of the facilities in the school as the media of instruction such as multimedia can make the students feel more comfortable and enjoy the class.

Those things may help the teacher in creating the fun learning environment for the students. But of course the most important thing to create the fun learning is the teacher herself. She has to guide the learners to enjoy the class so that they can get the best result in their learning.

Merry Christmas to all......

2008 has been an amazing year. We have seen the price for
a gallon of gas rise to almost $5.00 a gallon...we paid $4.85
for about 10 days a few months back. Our country has gone
from the "King of the World" to the last guy out...turn off
the lights! We have our first Black President and a pretty
smart one by any gauge or color! We OC Voters voted in mass
Democratic nearly 48% for the First time since World War II.
It was pretty darn close to turning the invisable corner.....
and we are also guessing that if the current crop of Republican
Electeds at every level don't change their toxic ways......
"The OC" may have gone from "Reagan Country" to "Obamaland"
for now and foreseeable future!

A lot of very rich people have been hurt lately by should we
mention....other very rich people! Bernie Madoff took a quick
$50 Billion off his list of closest friends. There seems to be
a lot more Bernie's out there that we haven't found just yet.
They presumably will find us. The Government in the meantime
has been busy handing out a few Trillion Dollars to their very
closest friends as well. Do we know what it all means? Not
yet...but we will probably find out after all the Christmas
Sales are over and all the Retailers we have grown to know and
love have closed their doors forever!

Ah, but these are all just cycles in the never ending circle
of life....the old and wise might say. They knew how painful
it might be.....but they were kind enough NOT to tell us.

Well, President Elect Obama is pushing a big time "Stimulus
Package" approximately five times larger than the Bush Stimulus
that sent us $1200 a couple..only to have the IRS...later write
and ask for $2000....back! Hey, cum See, cum Saw.....it comes
in....it goes out! What the hay! The price of Real Estate is
headed down to 1995 prices. We thought 1998....but "they say"
even that number was too inflated for prime time!

The Government Bureaucracies, Public Employee Salaries, Pensions
and Retirement Funds are all headed for some sort of bottomless
pit! Guess the economy had to run out of gas eventually! (No
pun intended!) How about those Big Three Auto Makers? They
want money from the Government too! Well, why not....they have
moved 80% of their manufacturing facilities to other countries.
They need those Government loans to prop up their worthless and
overpriced domestic production labor and product facilities...
don't they?

Some good news is that the Price of Gasoline may be headed even
lower....around $1.50 for high test. Maybe lower for awhile.
The Saudis and Middle East Sheiks, Venezuelans, Malaysians and
even the Russians......are shaking in their boots. Wouldn't it
be poetic.....to lower the cost for a barrel of oil to $20 bucks
a barrel...when the cost is higher. Nah, the real cost to pull
a barrel of oil out of the ground is around $4 bucks a barrel.
The Saudis are probably paying the Somali Pirates to hijack
their tankers and keep them out of ports for a while. Sort of
like "rent"!

Here in Newport Beach, life goes on. Our houses are cute and
we continue to make it to Gelson's, Chronic Taco and Bayside
Cleaners without incident. We can be blessed that we are still
able to just go along to get along...as it were. We wish each
and every person that honors us by reading Newport Voices with
a prayer that their year ahead is fulfilling, renumerative and
happy! May God Bless each and every one with the ability to
help solve all the world's problems and be glad about doing it.

One last thought or two: Should Casey Anthony get the Death
Penalty........and should Manny Ramirez sign back up with the
Dodgers - even if it is only for two years?

Exercise Can Keep Your Heart Health

Everyone is afraid of heart attack. Heart attack can happen to everyone, so we have to prepare about it. Heart attack can happen because of the gene and also the condition of their health. In order to improve the condition and health, then exercise is one alternative that can keep our body health and fit. In exercise, there are some type of exercise that really appropriate to avoid heart attack, for example is ride a bike, run and walking.

In some cases, exercise will not always influence the heart health. If you don’t want to do some heavy exercise, then you can use some easy way to make your body and your heart health. For example when you go shopping, then you can walk around the mall and grocery store to replace the time for walking and running in the morning.

Anyway, if you want to keep your heart still health, then at least you have to spend approximately 30 minutes every day to exercise. You can either do real exercise and just doing something fun everyday. Whatever you want to do will have the same effect to your health. You can avoid the coronary attack to your heart. *Those that forget history are destined to repeat it! Hey,
we had the Newport Harbor Ensign before the Daily Pilot.

There is a lot more history to Newport Beach including the
Tricycle Races, the Train to Avalon, The Rosan Corporation,
The Salt Works in the back bay, the lowest tide in 60 years
back in 1961, the three week win of a City Council seat by
the Winships in 1994 and more..sometimes it is fun and many
times it is important....not to forget!

Something to Look Forward To!

Gee...on a lighter note...

Rumors have been rampant of the Daily Pilot's future.

Where is it going, who else will be let go, how much longer will the now bankrupt Tribune Company keep it.

...and rumors of possible buyers for the Daily Pilot have been floating around as well.

Some real, some extremely speculative.

Well, one of the rumored buyers sent out a note this week telling us about their plans for a Newport/Mesa area local paper.

Just like the one the Daily Pilot is (or used to be...)

...and if you recognize the names involved, there's good reason...

Dear Friend and Neighbor,

For some 100 years, the Daily Pilot has acted as a watchdog and uniting force for our communities. Recently, however, newspapers have come under financial siege, including our local paper. The Tribune Company, owner of the Pilot, recently has filed for bankruptcy, and the Pilot’s staff has been cut to the bone.

As the days go by, we have become concerned about the Pilot’s future. We’ve asked if the Tribune Company would be willing to sell the Pilot, but received no response. So we’ve decided to explore what we believe is a very viable and exciting alternative.

Simply put, we want to create a daily community newspaper that would operate online and in-print as an independent nonprofit. Believe it or not, it’s being done in other markets (including a very effective operation called the Voice of San Diego that has return quality local journalism to that community; you can read a New York Times story about the Voice of San Diego here).

We have put together a business plan. The idea is to generate revenue through two means: advertising sales and donations. It’s a financial model based on National Public Radio and PBS.

Our plan calls for a news operation that would effectively cover this community in more depth and creativity than ever before. You’d get everything you’d expect and more: your favorite columnists, community watchdog coverage, opinions and editorials, a complete community calendar, local sports, photos, videos and more.

Together, we took the Pilot from its dark stages in the early ’90s--when the paper was losing $250,000 a month--to its being a financially viable operation, a focal point of the community, and honored as the best community daily in California. We believe we can do it again and better with this new product.

We need your help in two concrete ways. First, help us spread the word locally by forwarding this e-mail to your friends and neighbors. It’s important we get the word out.

Second, let us know if you’d support us as a non-profit in this venture. We’re looking for corporations, foundations, and individuals to make an annual pledge. In addition to $200,000 in start-up costs, we’ll need to raise about $200,000 a year outside of advertising to provide Newport-Mesa with a first-rate news gathering team. (Our ultimate goal is to create a local media nonprofit that can live on through an endowment long after we are gone.)

To review, please forward this e-mail to everyone you know and hit the reply button on this e-mail (here’s the address, operationlocalnews@yahoo.com, if you’re reading a forwarded copy) and make a pledge--or an appointment for us to show you our business plan.

In the spirit of this new enterprise, we’ve started a website called Operation Local News to allow the community to watch our progress and to contribute the ideas on everything from coverage to the paper’s name. We’ll also keep an ongoing tally of the dollar amount of our pledges. Everything will be transparent.

It’s our guess that the Newport-Mesa community would support a quality news operation, and this is our chance to prove it. If the money isn’t raised, Newport-Mesa will likely end up with, at best, an anemic non-daily paper. That would be a sad day, and it doesn’t have to happen.

Yes, we know. It’s new, it’s different, but it’s also very exciting and the future.

Thanks.

Nobody Likes Blago--Not Even Komen

Maybe Blago will keep sliding away until he's gone from the the frame.

The Dallas Morning News blog tells us that Susan G. Komen for the Cure foundation gave nearly $45,000 to our disgraced governor. The story? Tony Rezko spent the money on Blago, then the guv paid it back by giving the tainted funds to charity--mostly to Komen. Komen didn't want it and gave it back. Opines the DMN: And it's folks like Blagojevich that no doubt makes them Run from the Cur.

Cancer Bitch reported on this earlier, quoting Capitol Fax.

My Achilles' heel

Ladies, don't throw away the removable pocket of your mastectomy camisole! You can use it to cover your toes when you get your foot in a cast to heal your Achilles tendon! NB: When the temperature drops to the teens, you'll have to use a fuzzy sock instead.

Yes, I am casted in fiberglass. It looks like I broke my leg. The cast is there to keep me from moving my foot up and down so that my Achilles tendon can get some rest. It needs to rest because a couple of weeks before the cast, the back of my ankle hurt every time I walked. It is not ruptured, but it is inflamed.

When the cast is removed, on Dec. 22, I will need twice-weekly massage for I don't know how long. Three days later we are going to San Francisco, land of hills.

I'm driving everywhere instead of walking and clumping up and down the stairs and using elevators. I've been to two of my regular yoga classes and I was able to do some of the positions. But having your foot semi-permanently flexed does get in the way of many things, including downward-facing dog and child's pose.

Achilles' mother, you may recall, made him immortal by dunking him in the River Styx. Unfortunately, she held him by the heel and so that part of his body was vulnerable, mortal.

There are other stories about Achilles. They say that he tried to avoid his predicted death from battle by dressing as a woman. All the girls were offered presents. He outed himself by choosing a weapon instead of something girly.

But as we all know, in myths you can't outwit your fate. It comes and grabs you and shakes you and makes you weak.

His fatal flaws, besides his mortal heel, were pride and stubbornness. He died by an arrow shot into his heel. Which must have hurt way more than my tendonitis.

The cause of my pain is overuse or worn-out shoes or cortisone or antibiotics. Antibiotics? How does that make sense? We take one remedy for one problem then of course the side effects cause another problem, for which we have to have treatment. And so on and so on until we slip slide away.

Are We Back In Election Season Again?

Lots have been said of Newport Beach's Mayor's past of Tax Liens.

And purposely, I've kept my mouth shut...

But...

I feel as though I need to come to Mayor Ed's defense on this one.

First off...as a Tax Professional (or Tax Unprofessional as some of my past, and probably current, clients might say), are Tax Liens bad?

Sort of.

Regardless of what you did, if you owe money, even if you have a payment plan, a Tax Lien WILL get filed against you. It's how the Government guarantees that they will get their dough.

It's part of the deal.

Now I know what you are saying...

Why did Newporters for Ethical Government bash Councilman Steve Rosansky for his ONE lien, and I am not going after Mayor Ed for his numerous liens?

Simple.

Election/Silly Season politics dictates that the smallest bit of truth is blown up, stretched, and exploited for every voter to see and read.

Steve Rosansky sent out half-truths supporting his cause, Newporters for Ethical Government sent out half-truths supporting their cause, the Republican Party of Orange County sent out all kinds of half-truths supporthing their causes.

It's part of the game. For anyone who reads an election mailer and believes 100% of it...well...I'm sure that Bernard Madoff will have some fund that he'll want you to buy...

Anyway...the Election is over...and guess what?

No one ran against Ed Selich.

Ed Selich ran unopposed.

Are these tax liens brand new?

Were they not public documents?

Did the entire community not already know about them?

I knew about them.

...and the people behind the Tax Lien hit piece on Steve Rosansky knew about them.

So, if there is soo much distrust and acrimony towards Mayor Ed, why didn't anyone run against him in November 2008 and make this an issue?

Hasn't Mayor Ed been a GREAT Mayor?

His first liens came YEARS before he became Mayor, and yet he still did a GREAT job as mayor right?

Gee...I guess he WAS capable of doing a great job even though he had those numerous Tax Liens against him.

The only person to run against him in his TWO elections (and no offense to Bob) was hardly a Candidate.

Hardly a threat (remember...he was both FOR and AGAINST Greenlight II and was both FOR and AGAINST the General Plan Update).

And these Tax Liens were PUBLIC INFORMATION back in 2006.

Shoot they were even PUBLIC INFORMATION WHEN HE WAS:
  • Appointed to the City Council
  • Chairman and 10 year member of the Planning Commission
All anyone needs to do nowadays to find this out is go to www.ussearch.com, spend a few bucks and BAM - I know what your neighbors dog name is (ask me what Steve Rosansky's neighbor's dog is named...).

Making this an issue, based on incomplete information (I'll get to that later), after the election is futile and actually sounds like a bit of sour grapes (if someone had actually run against Ed).

Now to the incomplete information part.

Do I know why Mayor Ed had all those Tax Liens?

No.

But I can give you some insight about what MAY have happened.

And believe me, this is 110% speculative.

I just went through a divorce, involving minor children.

A really civil divorce, mind you.

But still, a divorce nonetheless.

A divorce which pretty much wiped out any dollars I had, or hope to have in the future.

Will I suffer financially?

Will I fall behind on my bills?

Will liens be filed against me for some of those past due bills?

Did I do things in order to provide for my kids which may compromise my position...?

Maybe.

Now imagine an extremely messy divorce.

Involving kids.

Involving really slick attorneys.

Involving public auctions.

Which still are having financial repercussions STILL...even after more than a decade.

...and that's just the tip of the iceberg.

Things happen.

People Fall Behind.

Especially now.

I'd say all those naysayers are two months too late for making this an issue.

Just like those who DID NOT vote for President Obama...he's our guy now.

Deal with it.

Live with it.

Accept it.

And if he still bothers you four years for now...grow a pair and run against him.

Or how about, put your money where your mouths are and fund an Independent Expenditure Committee against him...

...have the Press ridicule you,

...have a Planning Commissioner call you a liar in the soon-to-be extinct Daily Pilot,

...have a Guy Named Beek call you a Chicken...

But going after Mayor Ed for something no one knows the whole story about...well...too little, too late.
READ MORE - Are We Back In Election Season Again?

Mayor Ed....and Steve!

John Cox served as a City Councilman and Mayor several years
back. Cox had odd vibes for us....for some reason. We could
never figure out why he always wound up on the opposite side
of whatever issue that we stood up to!

John Cox served on a variety of County Commissions, City
Committees and the like. John had gone bankrupt...but this
event was rather shuffled under the rug at the time - as we
recall. Hey, stuff happens in life! A divorce here, a bad
business investment or company, a bad business partner, a
series of unlikely macro economic events......hey, these
things can catch up to almost anyone..depending on how brave
or perhaps reckless or desperate one might be. All of us
need to have a little empathy....for those of our peers that
may have had a tough time....at one time or the other.

The Cox issue created an apparently mean spirited, angry type
fellow....in opposition to his smooth, kindly and caring
nature that he exhibited during the election cycle. When we
had the temerity to make inquiries into his actions about the
Newport Coast Annexation or the Expansion of the John Wayne
Airport - John was very defensive. Whether he was a Mayor or
Mayor Pro Temp or even a normal Council member...John seemed
to be taking his personal problems out on the public. This
was not attractive in any regard. The worst side effect
however, was that other2 on the Dias.....soon joined, in his
acrid and cynical attacks on various public comments addressed
to the council. It was much later that another out of control
ego followed perfectly with their own John Cox Syndrome!

Todd Rigdgeway, was a USC guy..and of course we immediately took
a collegial attitude toward Todd, his lovely wife and family.
Once elected however, that old "power corrupts" and makes people
mean and cruel attitude took over! Now we are not calling Todd
necessarily "Corrupt"....no, Todd joined several other City
Council members and took a bunch of "Free" Conextant Stock!
How did they get that stock? No one knows! How much stock did
they get? Who knows? We do know that then Council member Gary
Adams immediately liquidated his interest in the Conexant stock
he received....at a pretty high dollar value we might add. The
others on the City Council that took that stock, liquidated
much later and were very upset that the Stock value had fallen
greatly - even complaining at the time. The approval of the
expansion of the Conextant facilities up on Jamboree..must have
been pure coincidence!

Conflict of interest issues and political action seem to go
hand in hand all too often. Todd Ridgeway also made a variety
of investments with others and bought up a great deal of
property around the City Hall area. They then built some
"Joint use - Residential & Commercial developments.

Now, we have no opposition to progress and in bettering our
community....but why did a sitting City Council member have
to be directly involved? It was the appearance of "Iffyness"
that seems to be our problem. But all of this is "Old News".

This is 2008 and Political Corruption seems strictly Regular
Order with a brutality that attacks our senses. Governors, Senators,
Congresspeople, State Government Officials, County Officials and
a wide variety of City Officials scattered not only around our
nation and state, but almost in any direction we look. How is
this all possible? Why aren't these people put out of office
immediately?

Currently, the Daily Pilot has focused on our new Mayor Ed Selich,
and Council Person Steve Rosansky! There is little doubt that
Rosansky is a "Slum Lord"....the Daily Pilot even had the photos.
Mayor Ed is under a cloud because of several Federal Tax Liens
that exceed a couple of million dollars. The good news is that
Mayor Ed is on a "Payment Plan"...and doesn't seem to be under
any Federal Indictments. Rosansky is easy not to like...because
of his stiff...nasty attitude. That doesn't make him a bad
Council member...it just means...we will not be voting for Steve
for any further political office. Mayor Ed on the other hand....
well, we are certainly not pleased that he has problems with
the tax people. But in these times, we are all just here on a
wing a and prayer anyway! If Mayor Ed can sort out his IRS
issues legally and in a timely fashion and get back on track
....we might entertain....voting for Ed in another capacity in
the future. The main for this is that Ed presents himself well
...and seems kind and caring enough to do the people's business.

The best example of how personal behavior affects the our blind
perceptions and the lives of politicians might be the difference
between two very different personalities: Congressman Dan
Rostonkowski, from Illinois and our favorite Congressman - Jim
Traficant, from Ohio! Both were very abrasive personalities....
but Traficant wanted to help the people fight a bunch of government agencies...including the IRS. Sadly, if you think you can fight
the IRS....you have made a rather bad decision. Rostonkowski
however, wanted to steal hundreds of thousands of dollars from
the Congressional Mail Room.....to buy gifts for constituents and
his grandkids! We love Traficant - he always told it like it was
....but he is still in Federal Prison. Rostonkowski got out after
five years! Dan now works as a Political Consultant for a variety
of Political Campaigns. We will bet that when all the shoes drop
that our man Dan will be someplace in the current mix of events.

Politics is a dirty business....so it seems. Too much power and
too much money that just can't wait to pollute the political
process. It can be a evil cocktail. It is the very reason that
Benjamin Franklin said it best: "We have given you a Republic..
..if you can keep it!"

The Governor of Illinois is showing us all....that between him,
OJ, Casey Anthony, Hank Paulson, Ben Bernanke, Alan Greenspan,
AIG, Freddy Mac, Fanny May and so many others.....our country
has some serious problems about accepting guilt for anything!

The Strange Case of OJ Simpson!

Yesterday, Las Vegas Judge Jackie Glass sentenced OJ Simpson
to 33 years in jail....with eligibility for parole after just
nine years! The pathetic shadow of his former self....tried
his best to use his waning acting skills to thwart and deflect
...with the hope that the Judge would be moved. She was not!

OJ used to live in Laguna Beach...half way up the hillside on
Victoria Beach. He lived there in the late 70's and early 80's
with Nicole and entertained constantly. How many drugs and odd
ball parties did he have? Who knows? The rumors were a plenty
but then...."OJ" was "OJ". He had a get out of jail card since
his days as a USC Heisman recipient from the LAPD. Everyone
more or less knew that whatever OJ was up to....it was probably
better just to leave well enough alone. Al Cowlings and Marcus
Allen were his constant companions. Sex, Booze and Drugs seemed
to be normal day activities.

OJ however, somehow had forgotten his roots. He lived and acted
like a "White Man". He did everything from Avis car rental ads
to motion pictures and NFL sports shows. OJ had the world by
tail on the downhill drag. Jim Brown would call and remind OJ
that he was still a black man and that just because he was very
popular - didn't make him white! When people do drugs, become
involved in passing their wives or girlfriends around to their
pals and others....depression can ensue! And so it did with OJ.
He started feeling sorry for himself...constantly. He started
playing the "Victim role" at every turn. OJ was no longer that
virile attractive super hero. He was a debauched user of people
and his celebrity.

Instead of being humble and grateful for all his successes...OJ
struck back at everyone around him. Nicole was a serious target
for years. When OJ appeared on an NFL pre-game show....with his
bright Yellow ABC jacket and dark sunglasses....his co-hosts were
the first to ask: "What's with the sunglasses, OJ?"..his answer:
"Hey...the sun never sets on the cool!" The message was...that
OJ could do whatever he wanted....whenever he wanted. Take those
powerful emotions, jealousies, depression and victimization and
that "cocktail" proved too much to handle...even for OJ.

Did OJ kill Nicole and Ron Goldman? Did OJ beat and traumatize
every woman he was ever with? Had the negativity and very brutal
attacks by the world press force his depression into a state of
constant "self destructive behaviour"? Will OJ truly get out of
prison in nine years....or will he die in prison? Is there going
to be good ending to this Fairytale story? Poetically, today is
the USC-UCLA game at the Rose Bowl. The Trojans are favored by
31 points. Even with all his many awards, OJ lost a rivalry game
to UCLA. The rule is to remain focused...remain humble....and
then to give it all you have to achieve your goals. You cannot
be an egomanical personality one day and a victim the next! Not
very attractive OJ....not very attractive!

OJ now faces the greatest challenge of his life. It will not be
to make a remake of the "Longest Yard"....by the way! OJ needs
now to become the person that he always was....but could never
be because of his success. A humble, caring and loving parent.
If he can achieve that now....without the spotlight of the press
or paparazzi.....he still can win the most important prize in
life.......doing for others and his family! Good luck #32, it
will be "student body left" for twenty yards..and you only have
to do it for nine more years - if you are lucky and then can
apply yourself consistently! OJ turned 61 on July 9th.........

Hey OJ, 70 years old is the new 50 OJ....things could be worse!

The Last Republican......

Saxby Chambliss is an elegant man of the south! Saxby is
arguably the atypical image of the "Idle Rich" with a Mint
Julep in his hand and his lovely bride of 50 years by his
side. Saxby comes from the great State of Georgia. Georgia
where the Confederate Flag still waved proudly until April
12th, 2000! Of course Mississippi still has the Stars and
Bars on their flag....sort of an embarrassment to Georgians
who believe "they" are still the voice of the south!

OK, there has been much made of the Victory last night of
the good "Saxby" over the powers of "darkness" and Saxby
did win by close to a 53% to 47% margin over his Democratic
rival. But Saxby pulled out every card in the deck: from
Sarah Palin, Rudy Guiliani, Mike Huckabee, Sean Hannity
......hey, the whole shooting match as it were! We even
think that Mitt Romney had to make an appearance. Pretty
daring for ultra conservative Georgia! But this was an
attack on the "Mint Julep"...an attack on the "whiteness
of the south"! How could anyone hold back all the soldiers
for the great Republican Party?

In all actualities, Saxby is a pretty mushy "Conservative
Voice of the South". He had to be just to get a few minority
votes! Is Saxby a RINO? Hey, this is politics, the South,
and who in the world would ever know. The truth of the matter
is that the Republican Party is "hurtin for certin". Having
to sell out to Moderate voices in order to get money to run
has been a huge malfunction of the Republican Party. Their
first big mistake was to marginalize the Evangelical wing of
the party. "They" literally took them for granted and stated
vividly: "Where else are they going to go?" Well, "they"
quickly opted out for - "Independent" and "Decline to State"
status. The few bucks in their wallets dried up quick too!

Then came the ever present support to the 2nd Amendment
people. "They" figured if they just got the Supreme Court to
make a ruling..everything would validate the credit for the
Republican party. Of course they then quickly get local
politicos to restrict CCW's and the like for all of us. Again,
a "New Majority" misstep! Hey, but you have to follow the
money right? Then what about all of us that want our Border's
Secure? Nah ...pick a real softy on Amnesty and no one is
going to care about that in a down economy anyway ...will
they? The list goes on.....but let us say that our new
President Elect is "looking good". He is promising not to
raise our taxes right off, not take our guns away - right off
and make sure that Churches can keep their "tax protections"
for the time being.

The reality is that the "so-called" Most Liberal Member of
the United States Senate has stolen the Republican thunder
...ripped it right off the Elephant Party Platform! "Pragmatic
proposals for a pragmatic life!" How about a "Apologists
proposal for apologists greedy life!" Karl Rove, Sean Hannity,
Bill O'Reilly, Newt Gingrich or Grover Norquist may not be
quite as smart as the entire Republican Party had once had
thought! Even the likes of Bill Bennett, Peggy Noonan and
Pat Buchanan were looking with a very jaundice eye....at the
2008 goings on! When you get those Jesuits "eyeballing" your
efforts...it could be a sharp message....that you could be
in big trouble - and so we were!

Well, we are in trouble as Republicans and we have a lot of
trash to get off the table to sort out our party. We have
an immense amount of outreach to do when it comes to Latinos,
Asians and Blacks. We need to identify the smartest of the
lot and bring them into the fold! We need to "bleach our party"
of Liberal Tom Kuechel and Earl Warren Democrats in Republican
clothing! We need to go back to basics. Oh sure we can be
forgiving of minority report lifestyles, but we cannot fall
prey to Legislation in that regard. We can be even greatly
forgiving of those hooked on drugs...alcohol or prescription
drugs.....but we certainly cannot be soft on violent crime,
child abuse or terrorism.

The list of things we will do as Republicans that differs from
Democrats needs to be addressed now and in great detail. The
longer we wait, the worse it will get. We might need a group
that creates an "100% Republican" website! Where people can
go to see "how Republican" those that they vote for really are.

In any event, Saxby Chambliss might be the last Republican ever
voted into office....unless we change our ways. Sarah Palin is
not the answer......we need more not less! We need kind not
mean! We need smart not apologetic! "OK Saxby, Congratulations
from Orange County, California! - make sure you turn out the
lights when you leave!"

My book cover

On the cover is a photo of a specially-made Cancer Bitch. I'm told it's small and somehow it's a whistle--I think if you take off the head. It was my friend S's idea to have the circle-slash over the left breast. Click here to read more about this book.

Server Error Sponsor Komplain
